Moses & Mary Baseball Students Volunteer at UCF Puerto Rico Research Hub × MLB Diamond Sports Clinic

On Saturday, August 25, our Moses & Mary Christian Academy baseball students proudly volunteered at a FREE introductory diamond sports clinic hosted by the UCF Puerto Rico Research Hub in partnership with Major League Baseball. The event, held at Engelwood Park in Orlando, brought together children ages 5–12 and their families for a morning filled with fun, learning, and community spirit.

Serving as Role Models

Our student-athletes guided children through baseball and softball fundamentals—throwing, catching, hitting, and teamwork—while also helping with warmups, registration, and family support. They served not only as players, but as mentors and role models, showing younger participants the joy of sports, teamwork, and dedication.

The Importance of Community Involvement

At Moses & Mary, we believe in raising not just excellent students and athletes, but responsible and compassionate community members. A Day of Fun and Family

The clinic was filled with smiles, laughter, and encouragement. Families enjoyed giveaways and cheered as their children discovered the excitement of diamond sports—many for the very first time. With special guests and MLB-affiliated staff leading the way, the event created lasting memories for everyone involved.

For our students, volunteering was more than just service—it was about building bridges between generations, cultures, and communities. We are proud of the way they represented Moses & Mary Christian Academy and look forward to continuing our commitment to service through future community partnerships.
